A little backstory about
Eudora, KS.

Eudora is a city located in Douglas County, Kansas, in the northeastern part of the state. The area where the city now stands was originally inhabited by Native American tribes, including the Kansa and Osage. The first European settlers arrived in the area in the 1850s, and the town was founded in 1857. The town was named after Eudora, the daughter of a prominent settler in the area.

During the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Eudora grew as a center of agriculture and transportation. The town was located on the route of the Santa Fe Trail, a major trade route between Missouri and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Eudora also had a train depot, which helped the town become an important shipping point for agricultural products.

In the mid-20th century, Eudora’s economy shifted away from agriculture and toward manufacturing. The town was home to several factories, including the Hallmark Cards plant, which was a major employer in the area for many years.

Today, Eudora is a growing community of around 6,000 residents. The city is home to a variety of businesses, including retail stores, restaurants, and manufacturing facilities. Eudora also hosts several community events throughout the year, including the EudoraFest celebration in the summer.
